12. Luke Bryan's free show to mark eatery opening draws 30,000 -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Country singer and songwriter Luke Bryan has hosted a free street concert to mark the opening of his new Tennessee restaurant that drew nearly 30,000 people to downtown Nashville.

The Tennessean reports Monday's concert marked the grand opening earlier that afternoon of Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink, a multi-story live entertainment complex. The concert also featured country singers Ryan Hurd and Cole Swindell. Bryan performed a 75-minute set that included songs such as "Most People are Good" and "Light It Up."

18. Wild hire Predators assistant Fenton as new GM -

Paul Fenton was hired as general manager of the Minnesota Wild on Monday, after 20 seasons in the front office with the division rival Nashville Predators.

The 58-year-old Fenton spent the last 12 seasons as assistant GM for the Predators. He helped David Poile, the winningest general manager in NHL history, shape the roster that reached the Stanley Cup Final last year and won the Presidents' Trophy with the best regular-season record for 2017-18. Wild owner Craig Leipold, who once owned the Predators, filled the vacancy created last month when he declined to renew Chuck Fletcher's contract.

22. Titans coach Mike Vrabel finalizes staff with 4 more hires -

NASHVILLE (AP) — New Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel has finalized his coaching staff.

The Titans announced the final additions to Vrabel's staff on Tuesday with the hires of assistant special teams coach Matt Edwards, defensive assistants Scott Booker and Ryan Crow and quality control coach Matt Pees.

First down: Don’t be just happy to be there. The Titans have precious few players who have played in a postseason game. Even veterans like Derrick Morgan and Jurrell Casey are tasting the playoffs for the first time. I predicted the Vols would go 10-2 in the regular season, 6-2 in the SEC, tie Georgia for the East Division title, go to the SEC Championship Game, lose to Alabama for a second time and go to the Orange Bowl.

It was only one game, one win, but it was clear in the aftermath Sunday just how much the Tennessee Titans needed the victory they got in overtime against the New Orleans Saints.

After an emotional week highlighted by the firing of Ken Whisenhunt, interim coach Mike Mularkey and the remainder of Whisenhunt’s staff was able to rally the team and find a way to end a six-game losing streak that derailed the 2015 season almost from the start.
