Bank Investment Consultant magazine has named Pinnacle Financial Partners associate Brock Kidd No. 1 on its list of Top 100 Bank Advisors. This is his eighth appearance on the list.

29. Mayor names Cole Metro’s first chief resilience officer -

Nashville Mayor Megan Barry has appointed Erik Cole as chief resilience officer in the new Office of Resilience.

The new position and office were created to lead citywide efforts to help Nashville prepare for, withstand and bounce back from catastrophic events including floods, tornadoes and fires and slow-moving disasters like unemployment, affordable housing and poverty and inequality.

When Bill Purcell was mayor of Nashville, he had a favorite Realtor story, much to the chagrin of Nashville Realtors, I might add. One of the more painful aspects of the tale is that it is true.

Here’s how it goes. Mike Neal was hired to become the president of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. The term “area,” when used in this context, does not refer to Williamson County, Franklin or Brentwood, as each of them at that time had their own chambers of commerce.

The Nashville Film Festival, one of the longest-running film festivals in the country, is celebrating its 42nd year through April 21. The 37th annual Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is set for Thursday, 7-8:30 a.m. at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena.
