Richard (Rick) J. Nickels has joined the firm’s Estates, Trusts and Wills practice group. For nearly 20 years, Nickels’ legal focus has been to represent privately held companies, families and individuals in corporate and estate planning matters. He advises on federal transfer and income taxes, and drafts wills and a range of other estate planning documents. NASHVILLE (AP) - Leslie Fram started seeing the problems that women were facing in country music when she came to Nashville four years ago to lead CMT's music strategy division.

A former rock radio programmer, she immersed herself in the songwriter community and was blown away when she heard Brandy Clark performing at the tiny Bluebird Cafe. Grammy-nominated Clark, an artist who has penned hits for Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves, was not being played on country radio.

NASHVILLE (AP) - Miranda Lambert has reached new heights as a female country performer: The fiery singer is the most decorated female artist in the history of the Country Music Association Awards.

Lambert's four wins Wednesday night give the 30-year-old a total of 11 CMA trophies throughout her career, putting her ahead of any other female act. Lambert's fifth consecutive win for female vocalist of the year Wednesday beat a record set by herself, Reba McEntire and Martina McBride.

The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Urban League of Middle Tennessee and the Metropolitan Nashville Education Association, is hosting four forums with candidates for the Metropolitan Board of Education in June. Corizon, the nation’s leader in correctional health care solutions, has announced the hiring of Dennis Wade as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
