Denise Creswell with Pilkerton Realtors has been named the 2018 Realtor of the Year by Greater Nashville Realtors.

The Realtor of the Year award is presented annually to the association’s member who has made the most significant contribution to their clients, the real estate profession and the community. Creswell was awarded the honor for her commitment to professionalism, clients and the real estate industry at the association’s annual Awards of Excellence Gala on March 9. The 2017 recipient, Amy Cannon, presented Creswell with the award.

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. (AP) — A drummer who contributed to the legendary Muscle Shoals sound has died.

The Times Daily reports that 67-year-old Roger Clark died Thursday at his home.

Guitarist Travis Wammack said Clark worked at FAME Recording Studios and Wishbone Recording Studio in the 1970s and '80s.

82. Guy Clark, Grammy-winning musician, dead at 74 -

NASHVILLE (AP) - Texas singer-songwriter Guy Clark, who helped mentor a generation of songwriters and wrote hits like "L.A. Freeway" and "Desperados Waiting for a Train," has died. He was 74.

Clark died Tuesday at his home in Nashville, Tennessee, according to his manager, Keith Case. He'd been in poor health, although Case didn't give an official cause of death.

92. NAIOP Nashville elects first female president -

Lizabeth Theiss is the new president of the Nashville Chapter of NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Development Association, making history as the chapter’s first female president.

Theiss, who is vice president of business development and a member of the executive team at Crain Construction Inc., takes office in January and will serve a one-year term for the 450-member association. A NAIOP (National Association for Industrial and Office Parks) member since 2002, she previously served as president-elect, secretary and bus tour chair.
