Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce Banquet

Mark Whitacre, a whistleblower responsible for uncovering the Archer Daniels Midland price-fixing scandal in the early 1990s, will be the featured speaker at the Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce’s second annual membership banquet at the Holiday Inn on 1453 Silohill Lane in Murfreesboro. Networking will take place from 6-6:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30. The program is 7-9 p.m. Tickets are $35 online (http://tnchristianchamber.org) and $45 at the door.

Wedding Dresses Through The Decades

Enjoy traveling through time as you walk among more than 50 gowns that are being placed on loan and exhibited, most for the first time. The “Wedding Dresses Through the Decades” exhibit at Oaklands Mansion (900 North Maney Avenue, Murfreesboro) is presented Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Special Friday evening openings will take place Jan. 22, Feb. 5 & 19, and again Mar. 4, 4-8 p.m.
