Bart rejoins Sherrard & Roe

Albert J. Bart

Attorney Albert J. Bart has rejoined Sherrard & Roe, PLC as a member, returning to the firm’s corporate practice group after serving as senior vice president and associate general counsel for Ceridian Corporation for the past three years. Bart was previously a member of Sherrard & Roe from 2005 to 2008.

At Ceridian, Bart was primarily responsible for securities, financing and commercial transaction matters, as well as corporate governance and compensation and benefit matters. Ceridian, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a leading global business services company with nearly 8,000 employees worldwide, including operations located in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Ceridian is the parent company of Comdata Corporation located in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Bart’s law practice of more than 15 years has focused on corporate law and securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and general commercial transactions. He received his J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 1996. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and is an alumnus of the Webb School in Bell Buckle.

Parris Printing adds to management team

Parris Printing has hired Tim Legg as director of digital services to launch its new digital printing initiatives. Having served previously in the United States Navy, Quebecor World, and Affinion, Legg came to Parris from Xerox, where he managed large regional accounts and ultimately managed its HCA in-plant operation.

David Howe has been named vice president of sales and marketing. He is a longtime fixture in Nashville’s printing and advertising industry. David was formerly the president of Franklin Graphics and Cordage Papers, and vice president of Pearl Drums and was a two-time president of the Nashville Advertising Federation. David has an advertising degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and holds an MBA from Massey Graduate School/Belmont.

Kristy Rose has joined Parris as account representative. She is a graduate of University of Memphis.

Lewis King makes Chapski a shareholder

Robert F. Chapski has been named a shareholder in the Nashville office of the law firm Lewis, King, Krieg and Waldrop, P.C.

Chapski, a native of suburban Chicago, joined the firm in January 2010 along with fellow Lewis King lawyers, J. Randolph Bibb Jr. and Sarah Chambers McBride, bringing with them an established product liability practice. Chapski has a wide range of experience as a litigator in the areas of product liability, tort and commercial litigation. He represents various national clients in complex, high-exposure federal and state court litigation matters.

Chapski is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. He received his B.A. in history from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He graduated first in his class from both universities.

Millsaps joins Hall Booth Smith & Slover

Patrick Millsaps has joined the litigation and transactional practice areas of Hall Booth Smith & Slover, P.C.

With more than a decade of work as a litigator and business transaction attorney, Millsaps most recently was the proprietor of the Millsaps Law Firm in Camilla, Ga., which will merge with the firm’s Albany office. Millsaps joins HBSS as a partner.

For now, Millsaps will maintain his Camilla office and work primarily with the firm’s Albany office. He has extensive experience in civil litigation, alternative energy, health care and education law.

Millsaps received his undergraduate degree from Samford University in 1995 and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000.

Wiseman ranks high in 2011 Chambers Guide

Tom Wiseman, a founding member of Wiseman Ashworth Law Group PLC, received top Band 1 ranking for his Medical Malpractice Defense Litigation practice in the 2011 edition of Chambers USA directory of recommended lawyers and law firms. Wiseman is one of only six (6) attorneys in Tennessee achieving Chambers USA’s highest recognition who are specifically cited in the directory for their medical malpractice work.

Wiseman has practiced law for 30 years, concentrating on medical and hospital malpractice litigation, civil litigation and professional liability. He received his J.D. in 1982 from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he is now an adjunct professor teaching trial advocacy. Wiseman is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. He served as president of the Nashville Bar Association in 2001.

Mantle, Wright join otolaryngology group

Christopher A. Mantle, M.D. and Charles T. Wright, M.D. are now practicing with Otolaryngology Associates of Tennessee.

Dr. Mantle received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, a M.P.H. from University of Alabama at Birmingham, completed medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his residency training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Wright received a B.S and a M.B.A. from Lipscomb University, completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and completed his residency training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Vanderbilt University.

Otolaryngology Associates of Tennessee is a comprehensive ear, nose and throat medical practice of eight physicians and includes a professional hearing aid center and active allergy program with offices on the campuses of Baptist Hospital, Centennial Medical Center, and Williamson Medical Center.

Lifepoint’s Hogston now a senior director

LifePoint Hospitals recently announced the promotion of Sandy Hogston to the position of senior director, Homecare and Hospice Services. Hogston has been a member of the LifePoint team since 2008 and most recently served as regional director, Homecare Services.

Hogston brings to her new position more than 10 years of home health and hospice leadership experience. During the last three years, she has provided direction and support to multiple home health and hospice agencies throughout the LifePoint system. Prior to this, Hogston was president of Preferred Home Health Service, Inc., a licensed, Medicare certified and Joint Commission accredited agency with multiple service lines and more than 300 patients and 100 employees.

St. Thomas announces new directors

Saint Thomas Health has named three new directors in its marketing and communications department. Angie Boyd-Chambers will serve as community relations and physician services director, Kristi Gooden as public relations and media relations director and Joe Hagan as marketing director.

Boyd-Chambers will manage Saint Thomas Health sponsorships to ensure all relationships are in support of the system’s strategic initiatives. She most recently served as public relations director for MTMC.

Gooden will manage and execute public relations strategy to promote initiatives and successes for Saint Thomas Health, including Baptist Hospital, Saint Thomas Hospital, MTMC, Hickman Community Hospital and The Center for Spinal Surgery, and serve as spokesperson. She will also oversee internal communication and act as the marketing and communications team liaison for Baptist Hospital.

Hagan will manage and oversee all marketing efforts for the Saint Thomas Health system, including advertising, print collaterals, marketing initiatives to help grow patient volumes and media services. He also serves as the marketing and communications liaison for Saint Thomas Hospital.

Toler named Association Executive of the Year

Candy Toler, executive director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee (ACEC) and the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), was recently named Association Executive of the Year by the Tennessee Society of Association Executives, the highest honor awarded by this statewide organization whose membership includes 300 leaders of Tennessee professional, trade and nonprofit associations. Toler has served as executive director of ACEC and TSPE since 1999.

McNeely Pigott & Fox promotes 2

McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations has promoted James Boswell and Amanda Reinbold to associate account executives.

Boswell, a native of Charlotte, N.C., has provided media relations, research, writing, marketing and materials development services for a variety of clients. Prior to joining MP&F, he worked as an editorial assistant at Sporting News magazine. Boswell is a graduate of Davidson College.

Reinbold, a Nashville native, has worked with clients from a variety of industries, focusing in such areas as media relations, marketing materials development, event support and research. In 2010, MP&F staff selected her as a “Rising Star Writer.” Reinbold graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
