1. Oil and banks take Dow to new highs, but other indexes fall -

NEW YORK (AP) — More big gains for Goldman Sachs and Chevron helped pull the Dow Jones industrial average to another record high Thursday even as other indexes continued to slip. Ford and General Motors are rising after they announced strong sales in November. Technology companies and high-dividend stocks are trading lower.

2. Franklin-based Clarcor buying GE subsidiary -

General Electric is selling its Kansas-based air filtration business to Clarcor Inc. of Franklin for $265 million.

The Kansas City Star (http://bit.ly/1asavgU) reported Wednesday that Clarcor expects the sale to be complete by the end of the year.

3. Clarcor 3Q net up 13 pct but misses estimates -

FRANKLIN (AP) — Clarcor Inc., which makes filters for homes, factories and automobiles, posted a 13 percent gain in third-quarter profit Wednesday as it benefited from new products and international expansion.
