9. Kristofferson, Dolly producer Fred Foster dead at age 87 -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Nashville producer Fred Foster, who produced some of Roy Orbison's most popular records and was the first to produce records from Kris Kristofferson and Dolly Parton, has died. He was 87.

The Nashville area had 39,514 total real estate sales in 2018, 968 less than record-setting 2017, marking a 2.4 percent decrease, Greater Nashville Realtors figures show.

That also means 2006 has maintained its hold on second place and remains the only year other than 2017 to have surpassed the 40,000-sales mark. 2018 pulled in 486 sales short of the 40,000 mark and 532 less than the 2006 total.

Uniguest, a provider of secure managed technology services, has announced the appointment of Joseph P. Morgan, Jr. as chief executive officer, effective July 6, 2015.

Morgan had served as president and chief executive officer of The Standard Register Company, a publicly traded company with revenues approaching $1 billion, since January 2009. 95. Airlines forecast profits to jump to record high -

GENEVA (AP) — The global airline industry expects its profits to jump to a record high next year, helped by falling jet fuel prices, rising travel demand and cost-cutting.

The International Air Transport Association said Thursday it forecasts a profit of $19.7 billion — well above the $12.9 billion expected this year and the $7.4 billion made in 2012.

When Sony and Microsoft last came out with new video game consoles — seven and eight long years, respectively, the companies touted the machines' high-definition graphics, powerful processors and ability to play DVDs, and in Sony's case, Blu-ray discs.
