18. Burks named co-chair of Baker Ober Health Law -

The law firm of Baker Donelson has named Ashby Q. Burks co-chair of Baker Ober Health Law, one of the largest health law practices in the country.

34. Hanto named director of Vanderbilt Transplant Center -

Douglas Hanto M.D., Ph.D., professor of surgery and associate director of the Vanderbilt Transplant Center, has been named the Center’s new director.

Hanto, an internationally recognized leader in organ transplantation, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in 2014 as the center’s associate director and has since worked with the departments of Pediatrics and Surgery to establish a comprehensive pediatric liver center at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

NASHVILLE (AP) - For a couple of months now, Sheryl Crow has been loading her two young boys aboard a bus and taking off on a tour of country music radio stations around the country.

She's visiting with DJs and programming directors, playing a few songs live, then hopping back on the bus to do it again a few hours down the road. It reminds her, fittingly, of a scene from "Coal Miner's Daughter," the life story of Loretta Lynn.
