The Music City Bowl between Missouri and Iowa was canceled Sunday because COVID-19 issues left the Tigers unable to play.

The game scheduled for Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee, is the second bowl called off since the postseason lineup was set on Dec. 20, joining the Gasparilla Bowl. Overall, 18 bowl games scheduled to be played this season have been canceled.

41. Donors to GOP: No cash until action on health care, taxes -

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — At least one influential donor has informed congressional Republicans that the "Dallas piggy bank" is closed until he sees major action on health care and taxes.

Texas-based donor Doug Deason has already refused to host a fundraiser for two members of Congress and informed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., his checkbook is closed as well.

The Tennessee Bar Association has named Nashville lawyer Joycelyn Stevenson as its new executive director.

A shareholder with Littler Mendelson PC with a practice focused on labor and employment law, Stevenson has been a leader in the Tennessee legal community, serving as president of both the Nashville Bar Association and the Lawyers’ Association for Women - Marion Griffin Chapter. Tennessee Attorney General Herbert Slatery said this week the bill dealing with transgender student use of restrooms could cost the state more than $1.2 billion in federal funds for K-12 and higher education.

90. Oil prices rise on US jobs report -

Oil prices rose slightly Friday after a monthly U.S. jobs report showed stronger hiring in the U.S. in recent months.

Benchmark U.S. crude for May delivery rose 85 cents to close at $101.14 a barrel in New York. For the week, the contract fell 53 cents. The price has vacillated around $100 per barrel for most of the past month.

BRENTWOOD (AP) - Tractor Supply, a retailer for farmers and ranchers, said Thursday it will conduct a two-for-one stock split in September.

Stockholders of record as of Sept. 18 will receive one additional share for every share they own on Sept. 26. Tractor Supply had 69.8 million shares on the market as of July 27.
