NASHVILLE (AP) — Janoris "Jackrabbit" Jenkins broke up two passes, and Denico Autry worked on the defensive line Tuesday on the Tennessee Titans' first day of minicamp Tuesday.

Their two biggest offseason additions — outside linebacker Bud Dupree and rookie cornerback Caleb Farley — stayed right where they've been all offseason. Dupree is working his way back from the torn ACL that ended his 2020 season, while their top draft pick is recovering from back surgery in March.

The defense will look very different.

The Titans traded five-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jurrell Casey to the Denver Broncos on Wednesday for a seventh-round draft pick, two people confirmed to The Associated Press. That came a day after the Titans agreed to terms with defensive end Vic Beasley Jr. on a one-year deal to boost their outside pass rush.

The Denver Broncos have acquired five-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jurrell Casey from the Tennessee Titans for a seventh-round draft pick.

Since the Titans are on their bye week, we will revamp the four downs feature to reflect four areas of analysis about the team, rather than finding specific things related to an opponent.

Tennessee enters the off week with a 5-5 record and, with six games remaining, is still in the postseason hunt. NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans came up with an amazing goal-line stand stopping the Los Angeles Chargers.

Not once, twice but thrice.

Each time, they needed the replay official to overturn the call on the field turning what the Chargers thought were a pair of go-ahead touchdowns and a final ruling that gave the ball — and the game — to the Titans.

40. What to watch as Titans open preseason practice -

Last year: Coach Mike Vrabel just missed the playoffs in his debut season despite having enough issues to distract any veteran head coach. The Titans opened with the longest game (in overall time) in NFL history, losing top pass catcher TE Delanie Walker to season-ending injury in the process. Their most-experienced receiver, Rishard Matthews, was released at his demand, and DC Dean Pees was in hospital for the loss in Indianapolis. QB Marcus Mariota also missed three starts, including the season finale with a playoff berth on line.

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have placed Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, tight end Jonnu Smith and kicker Ryan Succop on the physically unable to perform list.

The Titans also placed first-round draft pick Jeffery Simmons on the non-football injury list. Simmons, a defensive tackle from Mississippi State, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in February.

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with outside linebacker D'Andre Walker and linebacker David Long, the first of their six draft picks to get contracts.

When the Tennessee Titans took Jeffery Simmons with the 19th pick overall in the draft, an alarm immediately went off in ESPN’s coverage of the draft.

The reason: An ugly video of Simmons assaulting a woman in 2016 after he intervened in a fight between that woman and his sister.

51. Titans focus on improving offense on draft's 2nd day -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans spent the second day of the draft addressing their issues on offense.

Tennessee took Mississippi wide receiver A.J. Brown in the second round Friday with the 51st overall pick and added Charlotte guard Nate Davis in the third round with the 82nd selection. The moves provide an additional weapon and better protection for quarterback Marcus Mariota as he enters the final year of his contract.
