NASHVILLE (AP) — The Metro Police Department is now taking applications for its popular free teenage driving awareness class taught by Nashville police officers.
The four-hour class is offered to teens between the ages of 14 and 18 and is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The class will not offer behind-the-wheel training. Police say officers will focus on teaching teens about impaired driving, distracted driving and overall traffic safety.

NASHVILLE (AP) — Parents who are worried about their kids when they get behind the wheel of a car can now apply for a free teen driving awareness class taught by Nashville police officers.
The Metro Police Department is currently taking applications for a four-hour class scheduled for Feb. 15. The course is offered to teens ages 14 to 18, and police say kids who live outside Davidson County are welcome to attend.
