8. Grading Jon Robinson’s drafts -

From the great (2016, 2019) to the disastrous (2018, 2020), Titans general manager Jon Robinson has had some big pendulum swings during his six drafts. Here's a look back at how each grades:

2016

1. Jack Conklin

9. Robinson enters draft with trail of mixed results -

It is no secret that Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson needs a home run or two in this year’s NFL Draft, set for April 28-30 in Las Vegas.

As he prepares for his seventh draft as the Titans GM, Robinson has had his share of home run picks. But to continue the baseball analogy, as power hitters are often prone to do, he has had a number of strikeouts that have hurt the team’s development at some positions.

10. Woods sees Titans as best chance at back-to-back Super Bowls -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Robert Woods heard from Rams coach Sean McVay shortly after the reigning Super Bowl champs agreed to a deal with Allen Robinson. Given a chance to pick a new team, the receiver nicknamed "Bobby Trees" saw the Tennessee Titans as the best fit in more than one way.

11. Titans trade for receiver Robert Woods with Julio Jones cut -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have traded for wide receiver Robert Woods in a deal sending a sixth-round pick in the 2023 draft to the Los Angeles Rams.

12. Hooper calls chance with Titans a no-brainer for tight end -

Tennessee's newest tight end Austin Hooper says he only wants a chance to compete with his third NFL team.

The Titans introduced Hooper on Monday, a quick turnaround from Cleveland releasing him Thursday. Hooper agreed to terms Friday after getting a scouting report on the Titans from his college teammate and now Titans quarterback Kevin Hogan.

13. Titans release CB Jackrabbit Jenkins to clear cap space -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have released veteran cornerback Janoris "Jackrabbit" Jenkins after one season to clear approximately $6.9 million in salary cap space before the start of the new league year.

14. Landry sees front 4 as group to lead Titans to Super Bowl -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Outside linebacker Harold Landry loves playing for the Tennessee Titans and wanted to do whatever he needed to make that continue.

15. Vrabel win Coach of the Year, Rodgers 4th MVP award -

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A four-time MVP, three Super Bowl players and the beginning of a brother act.

The Associated Press 2021 NFL awards had a bit of everything, starting with Aaron Rodgers becoming the fifth player to repeat as Most Valuable Player.

16. Vrabel has coordinator’s back as fans look for offensive answers -

While change is inevitable in the NFL, don’t look for Titans coach Mike Vrabel to alter his core beliefs and personnel after the team’s hasty playoff exit.

That means Ryan Tannehill will be back under center in 2022. The team will not make a blockbuster deal for Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson should they become available.

17. Titans don’t have cash for free agent spending -

Where do they go from here? That is the biggest question regarding the Tennessee Titans in the immediate aftermath of their loss in the AFC Divisional Playoffs.

It is probably small consolation to the Titans that the upstart Cincinnati Bengals pulled another upset this past week in Kansas City to move on to Super Bowl LVI to face the Los Angeles Rams.

18. Hindsight: More Foreman, less Henry -

Derrick Henry is still the king, but the Titans might have erred in relying on him in his return Saturday.

Henry, who had been out for nine weeks is, of course, the franchise running back, and everything the Titans do begins with him.

19. ‘Brutal’ or not, Tannehill will return -

By now, some of the sting of the Titans again blowing a No. 1 playoff seed has dissipated as reality has set in that yet again this team will not be in the Super Bowl.

Everything was seemingly lined up for 2021 to be the year the Titans finally got over the hump. After all, they had overcome injuries and having to use a record 91 players throughout the course of the season.

20. Titans challenge: Winning in playoffs after blowing top seed -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have taken big steps in four seasons with coach Mike Vrabel reaching an AFC championship game and earning back-to-back AFC South titles along with a No. 1 seed.

21. Titans waste top seed again with Henry's return not enough -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans had the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage along with Derrick Henry making a return just in time for the postseason.

22. Henry's back! Titans activate their top back for playoffs -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans will have Derrick Henry on the field for their AFC divisional game with Cincinnati after moving the NFL's 2019 and 2020 rushing leader from injured reserve to the active roster.

23. Titans defenders feeling healthy, ready to peak in playoffs -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee linebacker Bud Dupree feels as good as he's been all season and possibly is as healthy as he's been in well over a year.

That could go for the rest of his Titans defensive teammates.

24. Playoff predictions -

The NFL is done with Wild Card Weekend and on to the final eight teams vying for spots in this year's Super Bowl:

Cincinnati Bengals (11-7) at Tennessee Titans (12-5)

The Bengals are fresh off their first playoff win in 31 years, knocking off the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round.

25. Bengals at Titans: What to watch -

The Titans are in the playoffs with the No. 1 seed, meaning they won’t have to leave Nissan Stadium until the Super Bowl if they take care of business.

But being the No. 1 seed has not been kind to the franchise in the past. Both previous occurrences led to losses to the Baltimore Ravens.

26. Titans run against grain in playoffs -

The Tennessee Titans are a different breed – an outlier, if you will.

Of the four AFC playoff teams still standing, most of them are built around a quarterback whose success – or lack thereof – is the key to whether they advance in the postseason.

27. Henry: Foot feels fine in preparation for Titans' playoff return -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Derrick Henry, the man who literally ran the Tennessee Titans to the AFC championship game two years ago, is ready to play again.

The 2020 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year says his surgically repaired right foot, fixed with a steel plate, feels no different than his left, and he's happy to be back on a football field.

28. Titans lean on Tannehill's experience vs young Joe Burrow -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Ryan Tannehill disputes the idea he ever lost his mojo as the Tennessee Titans quarterback.

In a season where Tannehill was one of only three Titans on the offense to start every game during the regular season, the 10-year veteran led Tennessee to a 12-5 record and the AFC's No. 1 seed. That's a first for a quarterback who never played in the postseason until coming to Tennessee in 2019.

29. Rested Titans prepping to host Bengals in divisional game -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are rested and healthier than they've been in weeks, maybe months. They also know their next opponent.

Now they get a chance to prove how well they used their bye week as the AFC's top seed.

30. Titans will use bye week to ‘get healthy,’ prep for Henry return -

The Tennessee Titans have the top seed in the AFC, so now what? For a team that used a record number of players this season – the number reached 91 during Sunday’s win in Houston, with three new Titans making their debuts – a little rest and relaxation are in order.

31. Tannehill saves best for regular-season finale -

When the Tennessee Titans lost at home six weeks ago to the Houston Texans, there was growing concern that Ryan Tannehill might not have what it takes to lead a team to a title.

Tannehill, who did not have Derrick Henry or Julio Jones that day – and then lost A.J. Brown in the first half to a chest injury – did not have one of his better days. In fact, it might have been his worst. He threw four interceptions in helping seal the Titans’ fate that day.

32. Titans hope franchise's 3rd time as AFC's top seed is charm -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have a chance to see if the third time is the charm.

The Titans (12-5) earned the AFC's No. 1 seed for the third time in franchise history — all since leaving Texas for Tennessee in 1997 and clinched beating the team that replaced them in Houston with a 28-25 win over the Texans.

33. Titans hang on in Texas, get AFC's No. 1 seed -

The AFC playoffs will be running through Music City, and the Tennessee Titans should have Derrick Henry back for their first game this postseason.

34. Titans star running back Derrick Henry cleared to practice -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have moved a step closer to having the 2020 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year back, opening the 21-day window Wednesday for Derrick Henry to start practicing.

35. Titans at Texans: What to watch -

The Titans, thanks in part to the Cincinnati Bengals, have the AFC’s top seed within their grasp. Not only would that bring home-field advantage to Nashville, it would give the Titans and their many wounded players another week to rest and get healthy for the postseason.

36. Titans fans anxiously await Henry’s return to field -

With the Titans now in a position to clinch the AFC ‘s top seed and home-field advantage throughout their playoff tun, the focus turns to whether Derrick Henry can come back and be effective for the postseason.

37. Foreman gets off couch, into playoffs -

If Derrick Henry is the face and the heart of the Titans franchise, then D’Onta Foreman might be its soul.

Foreman, who began the 2022 season out of football until the Titans re-signed him to help replace the injured Henry in November, rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s AFC South championship-clinching win against the Miami Dolphins.

38. Titans can clinch AFC's No. 1 seed with Henry's return near -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The resilient Tennessee Titans now are two-time AFC South champs and just one victory away from making the AFC playoffs come through Nashville.

So much for a season during which they've been without the league's two-time rushing champ since Halloween and used 88 players, most ever for a non-strike season in the NFL.

39. A few Titans playoff priorities -

With the Titans on a short week, we delved last week into the matchup with the Miami Dolphins. So, with this week’s four downs, let’s take a look at four things the Titans need to have settled as they head into the postseason.

40. Vrabel is NFL coach of the year -

Other than injuries, there has been one constant for the Tennessee Titans in 2021 – head coach Mike Vrabel.

Despite a record number of personnel changes due to injuries, Vrabel has been steadfast in insisting the Titans stay the course and remain diligent, no matter the circumstances or the odds.

41. Dolphins at Titans: What to watch -

The Titans head into the home stretch of their regular season and now host the Miami Dolphins, who suddenly have put things together and found playoff life that did not necessarily exist early in the season.

42. Titans fumbling away once-promising season -

After the Tennessee Titans’ Sunday loss in Pittsburgh, Coach Mike Vrabel was asked if the game got away from his club.

“It didn’t look like it got away to me. It looked like we came up a few inches short on fourth down. We overcame a lot,” Vrabel said after the game, referring to receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine being stopped by Joe Hagan a yard short of a first down at the 10-yard line in the closing seconds of the game.

43. Titans' turnovers trim margin for error with 3 games left -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans had the AFC's No. 1 seed in their hands once again along with a chance to move a win away from clinching their second straight AFC South title.

They literally fumbled it away.

44. Tennessee two-step: Sloppy Titans fall once again -

PITTSBURGH (AP) — The sight of the ball bounding out of his grasp is becoming far too familiar to Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

So is the queasiness that comes with letting another winnable game slip away.

45. In reversal of 2020, Titans must ride defense in final four games -

The Tennessee Titans are going to have to win games with the defense for the foreseeable future.

Yes, A.J. Brown should be back at some point to help boost the offense. And there is speculation that Derrick Henry could return in January.

46. Reflective Lewan happy with 8-year Titans run -

Through eight years, Taylor Lewan has had an up-and-down career for the Tennessee Titans.

There have been the highs of Pro Bowl selections and playoff wins and the lows of a season-ending knee injury last year, the terrible seasons at the start of his professional career and plenty of other bumps in the road along the way.

47. Titans dominate Jags 20-0, get 1st home shutout since 2000 -

NASHVILLE (AP) — It took the Tennessee Titans a month to find themselves. This version looks pretty comfortable atop the AFC South.

After two turnover-filled debacles and a bye week, the Titans ended up on the other side of a turnover-fest and got back in the win column Sunday. It surely helped that they faced woeful Jacksonville and rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

48. Titans have to help struggling Tannehill -

With no Derrick Henry, and losing his top three receivers to injuries, the road for Ryan Tannehill has been rough in recent weeks.

Tannehill’s numbers reflect those struggles with five interceptions in the past two games. Tannehill was having a solid season before the two-week losing skid and must get back on track if the Titans are to regain their earlier success in the final five games.

49. Can Vrabel hold Titans together for 5 games? -

One of the reasons Jon Robinson fired Mike Mularkey after a playoff win in 2018 and replaced him with Mike Vrabel was Robinson’s judgment that Vrabel was more likely to take the Titans to the next level.

50. Julio Jones cleared to practice as Titans return from bye -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Proof the Tennessee Titans are healthier now than before their bye came in a roster announcement Monday. Seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones and two others can start practicing with the team, a big step toward rejoining the active roster.

51. What Titans must fix in bye week -

As the Titans finally reach their bye week, they do so having played a record number of players through 12 games this season. Four new players suited up for the first time against New England, bringing the players-used total for the year to 86 with five games remaining.

52. Turnovers rising for sinking Titans -

The Tennessee Titans limp into their much-needed bye week on a two-game losing streak.

At some point before the season ends, the Titans hope to have their A-list players, including A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, Bud Dupree and maybe even Derrick Henry, back to bolster a team that has been so depleted by injuries that they sailed right past the record for players used in a season Sunday, playing four new players to bring their season total to 86 with five games remaining.

53. Titans finally reach bye week with chance to rest, heal -

NASHVILLE (AP) — No NFL team needs its bye week as much as the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans (8-4) finally get to rest and heal up some of the many injured players for a stretch run to finish the season. Tennessee has used 86 different players this season, most by an NFL team since at least 1993 and topping the mark of 84 first set by Miami in 2019. They've also started 49 different players.

54. Titans lose 36-13 to Patriots, fumble away AFC's No. 1 seed -

Two kicks that clanged off the same upright. A missed tackle that turned a short pass into a 41-yard touchdown. Three fumbles in New England territory, and an interception in the end zone.

A lot of things went wrong for the Tennessee Titans in their 36-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday, and so many of them were self-inflicted.

55. Titans waive 2012 NFL MVP Adrian Peterson after 3 games -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have waived 2012 NFL MVP Adrian Peterson after three games in a flurry of roster moves Tuesday.

56. Titans have lots to clean up after ugly end to win streak -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans' six-game winning streak is over. The resilience, determination and fight shown through that stretch keeps them a contender even after a sloppy loss.

The Titans (8-3) have lots to clean up after a season-high five turnovers, four off interceptions by Ryan Tannehill, in a 22-13 loss to the Houston Texans.

57. Titans at Patriots: What to watch -

After stubbing their toe against Houston, the Titans now head to New England to face one of the hottest teams in the league in the Patriots.

Bill Belichick has done a quick rebuild just two seasons after parting ways with Tom Brady and has the Pats tied for the AFC East lead as the Titans come to town.

58. Teammates confident in Tannehill bounceback -

It was a performance Ryan Tannehill will certainly want to distance himself from as soon as possible.

The normally reliable Titans quarterback suffered through a terrible game Sunday, throwing four interceptions in a 22-13 loss to the lowly Houston Texans.

59. Winning only stat important to Titans QB Ryan Tannehill -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Ryan Tannehill fumbled and immediately dove toward the ground, trying to grab the ball back only to be beaten by his teammate, receiver A.J. Brown.

With Derrick Henry and Julio Jones already on a lengthy injured reserve list, Tannehill's Tennessee Titans teammates absolutely worry about their starting quarterback fighting for a loose ball even though they know he once played wide receiver.

60. Texans at Titans: What to watch -

The Titans have been finding ways to win while losing players – some of them marquee names like Derrick Henry and Julio Jones. Tennessee now owns the NFL’s longest active win streak at six games and will have to make sure they don’t put things on cruise control at home Sunday against the lowly Houston Texans.

61. Experience in close games helps Titans extend win streak -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans would prefer easier wins that don't come down to a final stand at the goal line or scratching out a victory in overtime.

They also don't flinch in such situations. They're scrappy and tested, used to big moments late in games because they've been in more of them than any other NFL team with coach Mike Vrabel.

62. Revised injured reserve rules keeping Titans, other NFL teams competitive -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The day after making final roster cuts, the Tennessee Titans put three players on injured reserve.

And they haven't stopped.

Derrick Henry is just the biggest name in a revolving door that has seen the Titans make 19 moves putting players on injured reserve and play a NFL-high 80 different players — 11 more than the next closest teams, Indianapolis and Carolina (69 apiece).

63. Titans vs. Saints: What to watch -

The Titans bring their 7-2 mark back to Nissan Stadium Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, who will be without Jameis Winston but with running back Alvin Kamara and a stout defense. Here are the four keys to the game.

64. Titans continue to confound the oddsmakers in win streak -

The Titans have thrived in an underdog role all season long.

While players don’t buy into the ‘no respect nationally’ narrative the same way fans seem to, the Titans do seem to play their best football when most don’t seem to give them much hope.

65. 7-2 Titans are an anomaly in pass-happy NFL -

Those who grew up on Sesame Street will remember the game and accompanying song: “One of These Things is Not Like the Other.”

In the NFL version, always go with the Tennessee Titans as the odd man out.

66. Cards return to top spot in AP Pro32 poll; Titans at No. 2 -

NEW YORK (AP) — Despite being short-handed, the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans both found success on the road in California in Week 9.

And both teams also found a way to the top of the latest AP Pro32 poll.

67. Titans off to best start under Vrabel at NFL's halfway mark -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans like to play physical football and call themselves resilient.

It's also time to consider them contenders.

Tennessee hits the midway point with the NFL's longest active winning streak at five games — the past four over playoff teams from last season. The Titans also are the AFC's first team to seven wins, and their latest is the most impressive for a team trying to reach its first Super Bowl since January 2000.

68. Defense carries Titans past Rams 28-16 for 5th consecutive win -

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — On two snaps 20 seconds apart, Jeffery Simmons and Kevin Byard forced Matthew Stafford into a pair of terrible decisions. The stunning sequence ended with Byard sprinting to the end zone carrying the second of Stafford's back-to-back interceptions.

69. Peterson savoring chance at playing in NFL again with Titans -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Adrian Peterson had been working out regularly to stay in football shape, even dipping around corners to test his eyes as he mimicked cutting back toward a sliver of daylight.

70. Titans at Rams: What to watch -

The Titans are 6-2 and in control of the AFC South, but the challenge of going forward without Derrick Henry begins Sunday night in Los Angeles. The Rams provide a stern test for a wounded Titans team, now missing its biggest piece.

71. Weaker schedule softens blow of Henry’s loss -

If there is any good news for the Titans in the wake of the Derrick Henry injury it is that the schedule does soften a bit after Sunday night’s game in Los Angeles against the powerful Rams.

It helped the Titans immensely that they jumped out to a 6-2 record, winning four in a row against AFC foes Buffalo, Kansas City and Indianapolis before getting the Henry news. This has given the Titans a good enough cushion in the woeful AFC South that there is almost no way they won’t win the division championship.

72. Titans lean on Tannehill with Henry out of picture -

Now what? In less than 24 hours, the Tennessee Titans climbed to the top of the AFC playoff standings and learned running back Derrick Henry – the primary factor in getting there – would be undergoing foot injury.

73. Titans sign Peterson to help replace Derrick Henry -

76. Titans use late turnovers to pull off 34-31 OT win at Indy -

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tennessee safety Kevin Byard promised to do everything he could to redeem himself after a late pass interference call in the end zone Sunday.

The veteran delivered on the third series of overtime.

77. Colts defense faces daunting task of taking down Henry -

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two-time All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard understands what he's facing Sunday.

He must contend again with Derrick Henry's powerful runs and the strong stiff arm that frequently leaves defenders in the dirt. Throw in a new passing threat and the already challenging mission of stopping a two-time NFL rushing champ becomes even more difficult.

78. Titans at Colts: What to watch -

The Titans have a golden opportunity to all but lock up the AFC South if they can win at Indianapolis Sunday. The Titans are 5-2 and already have a win against the Colts Sept. 26. That game was played when Colts QB Carson Wentz was hampered by two ankle sprains, and the Titans were able to take advantage and cruise to an early season win. In the rematch, the Titans can really gain the upper hand with a win or breathe life back into the Colts’ season with a loss.

79. Yes, Henry is MVP-worthy, but the NFL is a QB league -

With Derrick Henry’s work Monday Night Football came the type of attention that rarely finds its way to the Tennessee Titans.

And while Henry didn’t follow it up with spectacular numbers against Kansas City (86 yards on 29 carries), there is still the question of whether a running back – and Henry, in particular – can be a legitimate Most Valuable Player candidate.

80. Titans look like AFC contender off wins over Bills, Chiefs -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are on quite a roll winning, three straight and five of their last six. Beating Buffalo and thumping the two-time defending AFC champ Kansas City could be a big ego boost.

81. Titans start fast, simply dominate Mahomes, Chiefs 27-3 -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans wanted to start games faster and score more points early.

They did just that against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Titans scored on their first five possessions and led 27-0 at halftime on their way to routing the Chiefs on Sunday.

82. Knack for finishing games not showing up early for Titans -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have a great knack for finishing games. Moving the ball after the opening kickoff is their big problem.

The Titans have scored only 20 points in the first quarter all season and have been shut out in two games. Worse, they've scored only once on an opening drive, settling for a field goal against the Jets, with a trio of three-and-outs.

83. Chiefs at Titans: What to watch -

The Titans are in the midst of a tough stretch of games, first with the Buffalo win and then the Kansas City Chiefs on a short week. The Chiefs, despite a 3-3 record, are a tough out and a top contender.

84. Titans banged up, resilient, ready to build off 34-31 win -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans just passed their biggest test this season even with an injury report that grows with each passing game.

Call it poise, resiliency or the old cliche of next man up, it certainly helps having the NFL's best rusher in Derrick Henry and a defense with a growing knack for goal-line stands.

85. Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan carted off field with injury -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan was carted off the field strapped to a backboard after taking a hit to his head and neck area Monday night against the Buffalo Bills.

This time, he had help from the Tennessee defense.

87. Henry, Titans keep batting away questions over his workload -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry has a simple test for how sore he is after plowing through and over NFL defenders.

88. Bills vs. Titans: What to watch -

The stakes get a little higher when the Titans host the Buffalo Bills this week on Monday Night Football. The Bills probably haven’t forgotten the 42-16 smackdown the Titans put on them last year in a rare Tuesday night game. The game had been rescheduled due to the Titans’ COVID-19 outbreak.

89. Manning up is a sure way to sway this football fan -

I’m trying to become a Titans fan, as befits a bona fide Nashvillian. But it’s going ... slowly. Here’s the problem:

Geographic proximity is not necessarily a factor in my sports loyalties. I grew up in an area with no professional team nearby until 1967, when the New Orleans Saints debuted 110 miles away.

90. Henry again carrying battered Titans into crucial stretch -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Derrick Henry is carrying the Tennessee Titans yet again.

The 2020 AP Offensive Player of the Year is leading the NFL with 640 yards rushing. He's atop the league with 142 carries and seven touchdowns, and he scored three more in a 37-19 win in Jacksonville in an almost pedestrian performance for Henry with 29 carries for 130 yards.

91. Henry scores 3 TDs; Titans send Jags to 20th straight loss -

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Derrick Henry enjoyed another happy homecoming while continuing to torment his hometown team.

Henry ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns about 25 miles from where he grew up, Kevin Byard returned a fumble for a score and the Tennessee Titans beat Jacksonville 37-19 Sunday, sending the Jaguars to their 20th consecutive loss.

92. Titans LB Dupree: Mind, pride got ahead of knee -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Outside linebacker Bud Dupree says his mind, and pride, got ahead of his body in his recovery from a torn right ACL.

Blame the eagerness of wanting to make a good impression with his new team, the Tennessee Titans, and introduce himself the right way to a new city and fans.

93. Titans are consistently inconsistent -

After four games there is much to dissect about the Tennessee Titans. About the only certainty with this team is that it is completely inconsistent.

How else do you explain an upset win in Seattle and a win against the Colts followed by losing to the hapless New York Jets in overtime.

94. Vrabel: Nobody did well enough in loss to Jets -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are banged up, can't protect their quarterback and just lost to a previously winless team.

Yep, there's plenty of blame to go around.

"Nobody did well enough — head coach, assistant coaches, quarterback," coach Mike Vrabel said Monday. "We've been through this before. When you lose, we all have to do more, we all have to be better. I'm confident that we will. So we'll see who we have this week, we'll see who's available and get them ready."

95. Tannehill, Titans beat up by sack-happy Jets in OT loss -

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — It seemed just about every time Ryan Tannehill dropped back to throw, there was another New York Jets defender in his face.

The Tennessee Titans quarterback certainly took his lumps, getting sacked seven times in a 27-24 overtime loss Sunday.

96. Titans sign another punter with 3-time Pro Bowler Kern hurt -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans already have a second replacement kicker on the roster with the first on injured reserve, and now they have a second punter.

Three-time Pro Bowl punter Brett Kern was limited Wednesday with an injured right groin muscle that kept him from practicing Thursday. So the Titans signed punter Johnny Townsend to the roster Thursday.

97. Titans at Jets: What to watch -

The Titans head to New York with a 2-1 mark to face the lowly New York Jets, who are still looking for their first win of the season. Here are the keys to a Titans victory Sunday in the Big Apple.

First down

Don’t give the Jets life. The Titans have had one comeback win and one in which they let the Colts hang around for far longer than they should have, thanks to three turnovers.

98. Fresh off back-to-back wins, Titans have some issues to fix -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans are 2-1 despite not making anything easy on themselves.

At all.

A week after going to overtime for a big win at Seattle, the Titans turned the ball over three times and yet found a way to win for the first time in that situation since October 2007. They can thank their defense for allowing only one touchdown off those mistakes in a 25-16 win over the Colts.

99. Tannehill throws 3 TDs as Titans hold off Colts 25-16 -

NASHVILLE (AP) — The Tennessee Titans know it's almost impossible to win a game turning the ball over three times.

They found a way to overcome their mistakes for a big win against a team they rarely beat, especially in Nashville.

100. Titans' Lewan set to return agianst Colts -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee left tackle Taylor Lewan practiced fully all week and is set to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts after being scratched for the Titans' win in Seattle.

Outside linebacker Bud Dupree is questionable after not practicing Friday. Starting tight end Anthony Firkser (knee), rookie cornerback Caleb Farley (shoulder) and outside linebacker Derick Roberson (knee) all are out against the Colts (0-2).
