After serving as a director for more than 12 years, McWhorter resigned from the company’s board in January 2018 when he became Gov. Bill Lee’s commissioner of Finance and Administration.

NASHVILLE (AP) - R. Clayton McWhorter, a businessman and philanthropist who helped pioneer health care in Nashville, has died at the age of 82.

18. Dean, Henry, Hyde named to YWCA board -

The YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee has elected three new members for the 2015-2016 board term, including former Mayor Karl Dean.

Also, with her election as the first female mayor of Nashville, Megan Barry has resigned her position on the YWCA board.

Bill Hagerty, co-founder and managing director of private equity investment firm Hagerty Peterson & Company, has been elected to the Pinnacle Financial Partners’ 14-member board of directors.

Stuart McWhorter, chairman and co-founder of Clayton Associates, has been named president & CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.

The announcement follows a months-long national search, according to John R. Ingram, chairman of the board of directors of the NEC.
