Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival producers have scheduled the next event for Sept. 25-26 following a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

49. Eurozone growth falters further at the start of 2019: survey -

LONDON (AP) — A closely watched survey shows that economic growth across the 19-country eurozone dipped further at the start of 2019 to its lowest level in five-and-a-half years.

Financial information company IHS Markit said Tuesday that its composite purchasing managers index — a gauge of business activity across the manufacturing and services sector — fell to 51.0 points in January from 51.1 the previous month. Anything below 50 indicates a contraction in activity.

LONDON (AP) — With Brexit less than eight weeks away, it's becoming clear that the British economy is stalling as firms struggle with the uncertainty over what will happen.

Hot on the heels of the news that carmaker Nissan is scrapping plans to build a new SUV in its plant in northeast England, a survey on Tuesday showed that the British economy as a whole is almost flat lining.

LONDON (AP) — The 19-country eurozone economy lost momentum in September despite a resilient performance by the services sector in Italy, according to a closely watched survey released Wednesday.

70. UK economy 'on course to rebound' in Q2 -

LONDON (AP) — The British economy appears to be bouncing back following a period of near-stagnation that had reinforced fears about the impact of Brexit, surveys indicated Tuesday.

The British Retail Consortium said overall sales rose by a solid 4.1 percent in May. It credited the rise to sunny weather and said sales were boosted in the run-up to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The day itself was more subdued though as households up and down the land opted to stay at home and watch the festivities.
