NEW YORK (AP) — Shut-in television viewers tuned in to the game show "Let's Make a Deal" in record numbers last week.

TV programs across the dial recorded superlatives last week with a captive audience of millions of Americans told to stay home because of the coronavirus. Few were as interesting as the newfound fervor for CBS' "Let's Make a Deal," which recorded its most-watched week since the show was brought back 11 years ago with Wayne Brady as host, the Nielsen company said.

MONTREAL (AP) — Filip Forsberg scored twice and the Nashville Predators withstood a late comeback try by Montreal and beat the Canadiens 4-2 on Tuesday night.

NEW YORK (AP) — Investors' jitters over emerging markets faded on Tuesday and U.S. stocks rose for the first time in four days.

Global stock markets stabilized after three turbulent days when investors grew worried about growth in China and other emerging markets. The sell-off began last Thursday, when a survey for January showed that Chinese manufacturing was set to contract, dragging down stocks in Asia, Europe and the U.S. The slide continued on Friday as currencies in countries including Argentina and Turkey slumped. On Monday, Asian markets slumped, although the selling on Wall Street eased.
