WASHINGTON (AP) — Does money roll downhill? In their drive to cut taxes, President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans are betting it does.

Behind their legislation is a theory long popular among conservatives: Slash taxes for corporations and rich people, who will then hire, invest and profit — and cause money to trickle into the pockets of ordinary Americans. The White House says the plan's corporate tax cut alone would eventually raise average household incomes by $4,000 a year.

13. LP names Southern CEO upon Stevens’ retirement -

The Louisiana-Pacific Corporation board has appointed Brad Southern to succeed Curt Stevens as the CEO July 1, 2017. Stevens, who has served as CEO since 2012, will retire from LP on June 30.

Southern, 57, will become LP’s fifth CEO. He has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer since November 2016. He previously was named executive vice president of OSB in 2015, senior vice president of Siding in 2012 and vice president of specialty operations in 2004.

Bruce Doeg of Baker Donelson has been named vice chairman of Launch Tennessee.

LaunchTN is a public-private partnership focused on supporting the development of high-growth companies in Tennessee. Doeg was recently elected vice chairman by LaunchTN’s board of directors. Randy Boyd, commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development, is its chairman.
