WASHINGTON (AP) — The Affordable Care Act — "Obamacare" — has inspired many exaggerated claims through the years, both from fans and foes. Now President Joe Biden is adding his own.
With a few loose words turned into a pithy formula, the president implies that his enhanced version of the ACA is much better than it really is. Biden suggests that considerably more people are getting health insurance for less than $10 a month than what's actually been the case.

It wasn’t quite a constitutional crisis, but when Reps. Micah Van Huss and Joe Towns start teaming up, something is amiss.
Van Huss, a Republican from East Tennessee near Johnson City, and Towns, a Democrat from Memphis, are typically like water and oil. But on the final day of the 110th General Assembly, when they felt the Senate slow-walked and spiked their constitutional amendments, they suddenly became bosom buddies, forgetting they were on opposite sides of the argument over Memphis and removal of Confederate monuments.

Sen. Becky Massey, a Republican from Knoxville who sponsored the Senate Bill, said Tennessee passed a law allowing kids to take ASL for credit back in the early '90s. But Massey said lawmakers never made sure it got implemented. She said the new bill assures that it will.

NASHVILLE (AP) - A fatal school bus crash in Knoxville has inspired Tennessee lawmakers to seek tougher penalties for drivers using electronic devices.
Investigators last year found that one driver had been reading a text message just before his bus crashed through a highway median and hit another school bus coming in the other direction in December 2014, killing two students and a teacher's aide.
