Festival on the 4th at World’s Fair Park

The free festival begins at 5 p.m. and ends at approximately 10 p.m. at the conclusion of fireworks. Festival will include music, food and fun on the Festival and Performance lawns of the World’s Fair Park. The Festival Lawn will be filled 5-8 p.m. with activities such as miniature golf with Holes to Go and Paddle Boats in the lake at World’s Fair Park. Live music begins on the Festival Lawn at 5 p.m. with Jena Rose. Vibraslaps plays at 6 p.m. The 38th annual Pilot Flying J Independence Day Concert featuring the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will start at 8 p.m. on the World’s Fair Park’s Performance Lawn. Fireworks start at 9:35 p.m. Free parking at World’s Fair & Blackstock parking lots, 11th Street, Locust Street, Walnut Street, State Street & Market Square garages and ADA parking will be available at 11th Street garage. An open house will be held 3-6 p.m. at the historic 1805 House, adjacent to the new River Breeze Event Center. Go back in time and see what the future has to offer with the River Breeze experience. Kid A’ Riffic Fun

Families are invited to participate in crafts, games and other activities on Wednesdays in June and July from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in eight different Knoxville parks and natural areas. Sponsored by Home Federal Bank, the event is for families with children age 2-12 offering activities, games, hands-on crafts and other fun pursuits hosted by the City of Knoxville Office of Special Events, Parks and Recreation Department and community partners. Participation is free, and no registration is required.

Summer Movie Magic series at Tennessee Theatre

The series, presented by Denark Construction, presents a lineup of three themed movies each weekend in the categories of music, popular classics and family entertainment. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 3 and are $10 for adults and $8 for children younger than 12 and seniors 65 and older.
